Qi and me caught a supposedly cheesy romance at "The Cathay" today. We each bought a $15 Adidas pouch so as to get the required number of stamps for a complimentary movie ticket(worth $8). This is how silly both of us are. We got lost together, walked into mirrors together, wandered around aimlessly together and I'm sure we'll be doing more stupid stuff together. Looking forward to the next one.
"The Lake House" isn't really for those who contemplates too much as you'll spot far too many loop holes such as "Why did Sandra Bullock have recollection of the car accident when it didn't happen at all?". Yet, it contains the essence of a good romance----that is it makes you believe that true love exists, just like all those candy-coated disney princess cartoons. Even though that belief will only last for a moment before reality sets in , It is better than not having believed in it before.
I visited the movie website and found an interesting feature. We can actually send an email to our future self by setting the date we want the email to be sent. It could be as far as 30 years later. I wonder how it would feel like to receive a letter from 18 year old Angeline when i'm 48.It's scary to think about it. I have only sent one which i'll receive at the end of the year. I'm afraid i'll scare myself to death when I receive an email in 2036 from myself. I would have forgotten about the email I sent in 2006 and might get a heart attack or something.
