Orientation was great even though the talks weren't exactly so. Had a welcome dinner where we heard the NZ national anthem for the first time. The professors put on anglo-saxon-looking gowns and the emcee actually exclaimed "God Save the Queen" at the end of her speech. I felt as if i was in britan. I found a couple of friends and am slowly getting to know many people, both vets and non-vets. Till now, I'm glad I made the decision to study here because Kiwis integrated the cultures of their indigenious ppl into their culture which i think is great. They have a maori national anthem and a haka contest is happening soon.I shan't criticise any countries here and wil not state names whatsoever but i must say i'm greatly impressed with what i 've seen here. Met 2 vet students in my hall and Brandy from Yutah USA whom i share quite a few interests with. Happy new year my friends.
