my long neglected paint brush is back in action

My team members did really well for our display dissection. Their excellent ideas and dissection skills might just win us a prize. oooo! And it's for ANATOMY! I might end up in tears of happiness on wednesday. bwahahaha! So i volunteered to do the diagrams since this is something i can contribute. besides drawing those diagrams, i ended up drawing stuff for my friends too.i'm an awesome procrastinator recently. By the way, the potluck was great. everyone loves my hotcakes! WHEE!

i heart licorice( raspberry flavoured only)

I had an eventful friday. Shocking realisation that i shall not write about in case strangers do read my blog. Please ask me if you would like to know. I went for the vet's happy hour for the first and maybe the last time. I felt like a prude, a goody-two-shoes. hehehe.

Going to work on my project now. Somehow i'm always comfortable hanging out with older people. My group members are both a decade older. Maybe i went from teenage to middle age and skipped my twenties altogether. I'll be old and wrinkly soon, like a raisin.

And it's funny how i went from licorice- hating to licorice- loving. Sarah convinced me to try the raspberry flavoured ones and surprise surprise! They were yummy! I only had yucky blackie licorice jelly beans before this. Now i'm trying to hide the packet of licorice to prevent myself form eating too much of it. But guess what? Licorice is high in nutritional value so that makes it slightly better than candies. i have been skipping meals(not because i want to) far too often this week. bad bad. i'll be making hotcakes for potluck tomorrow! Watch out for more pictures! OKie back to work! YOSH! I'm so uncool.

eek i must be mad!

SOmehow i'm really excited about my physiology assignment. I 'm looking for inspiration now when today is my "no work " spectacular friday. I should be reading novels or watching dramas.http://www.lillarogers.com/ I found some inspirations here. So have you guessed what my assignment is? I'm making an original poster to explain the oestrous cycle and no words are allowed. How exciting! I'm always excited and motivated for the wrong reasons. Why aren't i excited to read about vet anatomy or any other vet stuff? I doodled all over my notebooks and notes during class.

bye bye busy week!

Yosh! My busy week is over! Time to organize and get on with assignments and revision. I have been getting home pretty late these past few days and went straight to studies and off to bed. I took the 715pm bus back yesterday and it was so cold and quiet that i "power-walked" my way home from the bus stop.(i kept on telling myself that i was a tough cookie). My room was messier than usual and i just ignored whatever has to be done around the house. So today became my domestic day. I got trash bags after class and headed straight home after that. Did laundry. cleaned the kitchen, cleaned my room, mended my bag, vacuumed the house and harvested as well as watered the garden. Yasu has been doing most of the cleaning all this while and i can't imagine how it would be like without her.hehe.

My bear lost his arm. I just found out yesterday when i was going to put him in my pocket before topography exam. So i made an arm out of polymer clay for him. He's still in the hospital recuperating. bless him.

accessory glands

i spent the whole of yesterday( or at least before frisbee) working on my presentation and drawing things like what you see above. I'm so good at it now. Decided to leave campus at 4ish today since i was walking home. Watched a little tv online, did some studies and now i'm going to bed. I would so like to have french toast, cream puff and funny-looking cookies once in a while. At least i've something to look forward to tomorrow. I'm going to a bull show.

amy the rower!

"Rowing Amy" turned 21 today and she got "NZ's best woman rower award" as well as best team award yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Her effort really paid off and we are all so proud of her! I have got to do some work now after spending the entire day at her party. It was longer than i expected but it's all good. I haven't had so much fun for ages. And they told me i was strange. hehhe. Am i? Meaghan and flatmates gave Amy a really cool table with all our photos from last year!!! They bought a 2nd hand desk and did coats of varnish after taping on the photos! We had a pinata too!

sigh sigh i feel so guilty. I might be going for Singapore club's movie night if i can get a ride later. I haven't done any work today. But i do need some fun don't i? everyone in my flat seems to be busy with something and i think i'm too noisy.

P.s. Thank you qi for the letter!!! WHEE! I love it. The cat on your letter looks just like the silly cat that followed me home today. I didn't know what to do but shut the gate. Sorry meow!

thing 1 thing 2

Got new bedsheets and rug today! Finally i can change my bedsheets! It has been raining all this while and i could never find the chance to wash and dry them in a day. Took those pictures while on my way biking home on wednesday. I have a pretty neighborhood. lucky lucky!

Redecorated my tumbler last weekend as i was procrastinating to revise for my tests.hehe. Amy's 21st tomorrow and i'm walking to her place at 10am. It's going to be a big surprise! WHEEEE! And i have to revise for all my tests and do my presentation slides after i get back. Hopefully i could get them done quick so i would be able to go for merlion club's movie night tomorrow. Busy week coming up. No stress! YOSH!

p.s. Just realised today that i'm the only blood type O in my flat. 3 of them are A!!! Apparently, we are all behaving in a way that reflect our blood types! Come to think of it, it's kinda true. Apparently O people are the random/outgoing ones and As keep problems to themselves. Gosh! I have got to read more about it so as to find the perfect way to handle them!

the study monster

i drew this for an online tee design contest. Did this months ago but posting it now because i couldn't find any picture to post.

I have an urge to blog after my miso soup with turkey spam, wakame and frozen veggie. This combination sounds totally weird---like a witch's brew---but it's easy to make, warm and edible. Winter is here and winter in PN isn't enjoyable at all. It's windy, cold and wet. And i mean really windy, the send-chills-up-your-spine kind of windy.BLEARGH!

Spent the entire day on campus. Studying in the library is much more efficient and i can save some electricity too. I guess the library is my favourite place in winter. It's as close to the tropics as i can get.^_^ I feel like a nerdy tortoise with thick glasses.

I'm having a field trip to a farm tomorrow from 130pm to 5pm and frisbee afterwards. Not really a good day for it and i still don't see why i have to learn so much about farming. Now i know what's a two-tooth and a hogget and what constitutes a prime cut of beef. hehehe.

By the way, things really got better. Everyone's pretty happie now and we got the fireplace running! We thought of camping in the living area instead of sleeping in our cold damp rooms. To save on electrical bill, we are devising ways to utilise energy as efficiently as possible. Tomo, Yasu and me are spending more time on campus and Tomo told me Yasu once wondered if she should shower at the gym. BWAHAHAHHA! And here's the ultimate solution i have heard thus far! Tomo saved toilet paper by using the bathroom on campus!!! WAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHA!!!!

Ramen man

Yeah! We had yummy Ramen today! Tomo cooked it from scratch!!!!! Soup and all!!!! I did the toppings. hahahhahahahah! Good for a cold day like today! I'm so lucky! The cup is for Amy's 21st next saturday. Turned out pretty well.
My camera didn't do justice to the group picture. We were all so camera ready!!!
